Orta Demir Çağı'nda Kahramanmaraş ili ve çevresine hâkim olan Geç Hitit Gurgum Krallığı’ndan günümüze özelikle şehir merkezinde bulunan kale ve höyük ile yakın çevresinden çok sayıda kraliyet hiyeroglif yazıtı, kabartması ve mezar steli kalmıştır. Bölgede bulunan mezar stelleri kendilerine has konu, üslup ve ikonografik özellikleri bakımından ayrı bir öneme sahiptir. Bu çalışma, Maraş Müzesi'ne Yörükselim mahallesinden getirilen bir mezar stelini bölgede bulunan diğer benzer rölyefler ile üslup ve ikonografi açısından karşılaştırılarak değerlendirmektedir.
