Abstract

Aachens historische Gymnasialbibliothek ist aus ihren angestammten Räumlichkeiten im A-Trakt des Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasiums ausgezogen. Ihre Zukunft extra domum ist nach wie vor ungewiss. Die anschließenden Baumaßnahmen offenbarten nach Entfernen einer ersten sowie einer zweiten Lage Holzparkettboden nun etwas Kurioses: Portuguese Sardines "Acropole"; Foto: Johannes Maximilian Nießen (2025). Eine (leere) Sardinen-Dose. Möglicherweise seinerzeit von Bauarbeitern zurückgelassen? Oder gar von einem Bibliothekar?...
