Esta investigación se desarrolla en el marco de Maestría de Educación con énfasis en Desarrollo Humano y Valores, tiene el objetivo de analizar las narrativas de las docentes de primaria del Colegio Alfredo Iriarte sobre la incidencia de sus competencias emocionales en sus prácticas educativas, con el fin de reconocer aquellas que deben ser fortalecidas institucionalmente. Para lograrlo se cuenta con una investigación de tipo narrativo, porque permite dar cuenta de las intenciones humanas por medio de las historias de vida contadas por las docentes, para luego configurar una meta narración, donde se hace un análisis por parte del investigador creando un relato creativo a partir de las experiencias compartidas que se lograron obtener en entrevistas a profundidad. Como resultado del proceso investigativo se pudo analizar que las docentes, reconocen la importancia de sus competencias emocionales en el aula, porque inciden en el clima de aula y en el aprendizaje de sus estudiantes. Así mismo, se debe tener en cuenta que se requiere un continuo fortalecimiento de sus competencias emocionales docentes con el fin beneficiar a toda la comunidad educativa.

This research is developed within the framework of the Master's Degree in Education with emphasis on Human Development and Values, and has the objective of analyzing the narratives of the primary school teachers of the Alfredo Iriarte School on the incidence of their emotional competencies in their educational practices, in order to recognize those that should be institutionally strengthened. To achieve this, a narrative type of research is used, since it allows to explain the human intentions through the life stories told by the teachers, to then configure a meta-narrative, where an analysis is made by the researcher creating a creative story from the shared experiences that were obtained in in-depth interviews. As a result of the research process, it was possible to analyze that teachers recognize the importance of their emotional competence in the classroom because they affect the classroom’s environment and their students' learning. Likewise, it should be taken into account that a continuous strengthening of teachers' emotional competencies is required in order to benefit the entire educational community.
