Abstract

ADHS – die Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-Hyperaktivitätsstörung – ist angeblich in vielerlei Gehirnen, auf jeden Fall in aller Munde. Sie ist angeblich vererbt, unheilbar und betrifft nicht nur Kinder, sondern auch immer mehr Erwachsene. Das klingt erschreckend, aber eine gewaltige Allianz aus Medizin, Forschung und Pharmaindustrie verspricht angebliche Linderung. Mit der zunehmend einseitig-biologistischen Sicht und Behandlung der seelischen Nöte unserer Kinder wird ihnen eine ernstnehmende gesellschaftliche Verantwortlichkeit vorenthalten – ein weithin ausgeblendeter Skandal. Offensichtlich hat man lieber kranke als unglückliche Kinder. Die Autoren, allesamt Mitglieder der Konferenz ADHS, klären nicht nur wissenschaftlich auf, sondern auch mit Humor und Satire, stets leicht lesbar, abwechslungsreich und unterhaltsam. Eine Fundgrube für Betroffene und "Normalos".
