Abstract

Esta pesquisa teve como foco principal a investigação do papel do reforçamento social na estruturação do comportamento humano, destacando sua relevância para o desenvolvimento do autoconhecimento. Fundamentado nos princípios do behaviorismo radical de Skinner, o estudo busca explorar como interações sociais moldam respostas comportamentais, particularmente no contexto de eventos privados e comportamento verbal. A Psicoterapia Analítico Funcional (FAP) constitui-se da relação curativa entre paciente e terapeuta, mostrando-se valiosa, a partir dos conceitos aplicados pelo behaviorismo radical. O objetivo da pesquisa se cercou de compreender como o autoconhecimento pode ser constituído como parte do comportamento aprendido por meio de agentes reforçadores. O método se definiu com base em uma revisão bibliográfica, utilizando o delineamento de pesquisa descritiva e exploratória por oferecer bons recursos ao pesquisador ao tratar a revisão de literatura como base da pesquisa. Foram utilizadas as bases de dados da Scielo e Periódicos CAPES, além de livros referenciais na linha da Análise do Comportamento. Os resultados preliminares apontaram a contribuição das práticas sociais para a aprendizagem e expressão de estados internos, conectando essas práticas ao conceito de comunidade verbal. O estudo argumentou que o reforçamento social desempenha um papel essencial na construção da consciência do indivíduo sobre si e sobre o outro, contribuindo para a promoção de relacionamentos interpessoais saudáveis e para o fortalecimento da sociedade como um todo. Além disso, a aplicação prática da FAP, ao fomentar a coragem para enfrentar desafios e o amor como intimidade e empatia, reforça a relevância do behaviorismo radical na compreensão do comportamento humano. Por fim, como conclusão preliminar, a pesquisa buscou destacar a importância de expandir investigações sobre as interações entre reforçamento social e desenvolvimento do autoconhecimento, bem como explorar novos contextos para intervenções terapêuticas baseadas nessa perspectiva.
