El principio del doble efecto

Abstract

¿Se puede enseñar la ética? Es una pregunta antigua que ha dado múltiples respuestas. La reflexión de cómo comportarnos de modo que seamos buenos ha llevado a establecer algunos principios del obrar humano. Entre tales principios se encuentran los de perplejidad moral, es decir: dilemas morales que demandan o escoger entre males forzosos o entre bienes que generen males inevitables. El principio del doble efecto constituye una manera de afrontar los dilemas morales dentro lo posible y racionalmente. No obstante, ha generado discusión en relación a si logra su propósito o si sólo se constituyó como un intento fallido de resolverlos. El libro aborda la fundamentación epistemológica y antropológica del Principio del Doble efecto. Se inicia con un análisis de la definición pasando a la definición real y se vislumbran aplicaciones en la Bioética.
