La investigación historiográfica y archivística sobre los primeros poetas petrarquistas españoles y de las damas que cantaron permite seguir su itinerario en la corte entre 1520 y 1537; la consideración conjunta de esta información y del tipo de formación cultural y literaria que demuestran en su obra permite reconstruir el itinerario de su formación y parte considerable de las relaciones entre los miembros del grupo.
