La personalidad de Felipe IV ha trascendido la política para hallar eco en la literatura, la poesía, e incluso el teatro y la novela, con muy diferentes valoraciones. En este trabajo se analizan las numerosas fuentes literarias que glosan la figura del rey, desde sus contemporáneos hasta las representaciones más recientes, desde la narrativa hasta el cine. The figure of Philip IV has extended from politics to literature, poetry, and even the theatre and the novel, with very different assessments. This paper analyses a large number of literary sources that comment on the figure of the king, ranging from his contemporaries to the most recent depictions, from narrative to film.
