Las alianzas de los Incas con los jefes regionales (curacuna) del sector sudeste de sus territorios (Collasuyu) se refrendaron mediante dos ceremonias de las que, poco a poco, se van conociendo sus microsecuencias, el significado de los signos y colores de la ropa que visten todos quienes participaron de las mismas, sus orígenes, edades y rangos. Indagar acerca de esas ceremonias es aproximarse a la organización sociopolítica y religiosa del Tahuantinsuyu a través de estudios de Arqueología tardía, Derecho prehispánico, Historia colonial, Etnografía / Folklore y Lingüística, es decir Etnohistoria.
