Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) is a language teaching method centred on accomplishing specific tasks. This paper summaries the application methods of TBLT in the process of teaching English in China. TBLT can solve the problems of this students' lack of opportunities to use language in real contexts and insufficient comprehensive language skills. However, TBLT also produces some negative impacts in the process of English teaching in China, and this paper also puts forward some methods to deal with them, hoping to provide some references and insights for the reform of English education in China.
