An assessment to consider the impacts of the proposals to the weir itself, as well as to the value and setting of Ludlow Conservation Area, within which it is located. The study determined that there would be at most a minor visible impact on the immediate landscape. This would be most pronounced when viewed from the footbridge over the Corve immediately to the east of the weir. The weir structure itself is set down low within the banks of the river which conceals it from view, when viewed from the meadow to the north. It is completely screened from view by stable buildings to the south-west and by mature trees to the south-east. The impact of this development upon the Ludlow Conservation Area overall can be regarded as negligible.
