This report details the results of an archaeological evaluation carried out by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) on land at 2 Newton Road, Heather, Coalville, Leicestershire (NGR: SK 38980 10683). The work was undertaken on the 21st April 2022 in advance of residential development comprising the erection of three residential properties on the site. Three 20m long evaluation trenches were excavated across the site, each targeting one of the proposed building footprints. The archive for the work will be deposited with Leicestershire Museum Services under accession number X.A63.2022. All three trenches contained evidence of modern disturbance, however none contained any areas of archaeological interest.
