Stratascan were commissioned by Wessex Archaeology to undertake a geophysical survey. A reconnaissance magnetic susceptibility survey was carried out over 21ha of flat agricultural land at Junction 24 of the M5. Based on this six areas were selected for detailed magnetic survey totalling 7ha. The results show evidence of at least two phases of ploughing activity throughout the site. Several possible cut features and bank features have also been identified. The north east of the site shows evidence of modern debris perhaps left from the construction of the motorway.
