Remarks The otoliths of this species seem most similar to those of Recent Brachypleura (see Schwarzhans 1999: 87, figs 105–110 for otoliths of the Recent B. novaezeelandiae Günther, 1862), and therefore, were assigned to that genus by Nolf (2013).
