The objective of the TeRRItoria project is to experiment with territorial RRI: the adoption of Re-sponsible Research and Innovation principles in regional and local governance and R&I systems via Transformative Experiments in five selected European territories: - Central Macedonia (Greece): Co-creating a Gender Equality Plan with and for the R&I sector - Emilia-Romagna (Italy): Insert RRI approaches and methodologies into the regional Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) 2021-2027 together with stakeholders. Develop a methodology for their continued involvement in all phases of S3 - Municipality of Gabrovo (Bulgaria): Strengthen collaboration between stakeholders by in-volving them in conceptualizing and developing the regional Smart Specialization Strategy 2021-2027. Support the adoption of RRI principles in the R&I sector with a Public Engage-ment Plan. - North-East Romania (Romania): Adapt the Entrepreneurial Discovery Process to the local level in two mountainous micro-territories, enabling local stakeholder to express and priori-tize innovation needs. Establish collaboration between local areas and researchers via a bro-kerage platform. - Trndelag (Norway): fostering meaningful exchanges between the urban university NTNU and rural regions via internships, trainee positions, and the networks of researchers. The report at hand presents the results of the summative evaluation of these five experiments. The focus is, to what extent the local teams have reached the goals they have set for their experiments, whether they have observed changes in the territory and/or within their own organizations, and an assessment of the long-term sustainability of the initiatives started during the project. The evalua-tion draws on the practical participatory evaluation (PPE) model, which emphasizes interactive data production, knowledge co-construction, local context of action and instrumental use (Smits and Champagne 2008, p. 427) and thus rely on the observation and experiences of the local teams cap-tured via document analysis and interviews.
