Authors: Flechtmann, Carlos H. W.;
Abstract

Family Eriophyidae Rhombacus eucalypti Ghosh & Chakrabarti, 1987: 58. This species, described from India, was first recorded in Colombo, Paran, Southern Brazil by Flechtmann & Santana in 2001, from Eucalyptus tereticornis Sm., E. grandis W. Hill. and E. camaldulensis Dehnh. in a greenhouse. It is now reported on a fouth species of Eucalyptus, from the State of So Paulo. Specimens examined: many females and males, vagrant on leaves of E. urograndis (a hybrid of E. urophylla S.T. Blake and E. grandis), in an open field stand, in Mogi Guacu, So Paulo, October 2001, coll. Dalva L.Q. Santana. Eriophyes pyri (Pagenstecher, 1857): 58 The pearleaf blister mite is worldwide in distribution and is confined to pear. It is known from Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of Brazil (Parseval, 1939). More recently it was collected in the State of Santa Catarina. Specimens examined: 12 females from pear, Pyrus communis L., 19 January 2000, Frei Rogrio, Santa Catarina, coll. I. Nora.
