FAMILY LEPTOTYPHLOPIDAE Stejneger 1891, 501 (1 genus, 3 species) Epictia Gray 1845 b, 139 (3 species) Epictia ater (Taylor 1940, 536). Despite saying they were documenting all name changes subsequent to the McCranie (2009) list, Solís et al. (2014) did not note that McCranie (2011a) first used this species name for Honduran populations. Epictia phenops (Cope 1875, 128). A work under review (McCranie & Hedges 2015) documents the presence of three species of Epictia occurring in Honduras, including E. phenops. Epictia magnamaculata (Taylor 1940, 532)
