Trapezium, written by Lamarck. Locality on label of specimen 51694: Océan Indien. Label of specimen 51698 missing. Remarks: According to Rosalie de Lamarck, two specimens were in her father’s collection. Neither of these specimens seems to match Lamarck’s or Kiener’s figures. Current taxonomic position: Pleuroploca trapezium (Linnaeus, 1758); type species of Pleuroploca Fischer, 1884 [Fasciolariidae]. Locality is Indo – Pacific.
