Danio tweediei Brittan 1956

Authors: Ng, Casey Keat Chuan; Lim, Teow Yeong; Ahmad, Amirrudin; Khaironizam, Md Zain;
Abstract

Danio tweediei Brittan 1956 Brachydanio albolineata: Herre, 1940a: 29 (Sauk); Menon, 1954: 7 (Sauk). Danio tweediei: Author’s data (Lata Papan; Lenggong; Sg. Ulu Kampar). Remarks. Although Kottelat (2013) treats Nuria albolineata and Danio tweediei as the junior synonyms of Brachydanio albolineata (Blyth, 1860), Fricke et al. (2018) accepted D. tweediei as the valid name by providing Kullander & Britz (2015) as reference. When the paper was examined, surprisingly, both D. albolineatus and D. tweediei are treated as valid species for unknown reasons. Since we follow Fricke et al. (2018) as the master reference, only D. tweediei is listed herein.
