Ornithodoros (Subparmatus) viguerasi Kohls et al. (1965) recorded O. (S.) viguerasi from Mormoops megalophylla tumidiceps bats at Mount Tamana, and from Pteronotus r. rubiginosa bats in Port of Spain, Tamana Hill cave, and Diego Martin. Aitken et al. (1968a) recorded O. (S.) viguerasi from the lesser naked-backed bat (Pteronotus davyi) from Bush Forest. Distribution: Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Venezuela. Costa Rica, Haiti and Mexico (Cruz 2001; Guglielmone et al. 2003)
