</script>Ideogorgia laurae Pérez & Cordeiro, 2020 Material examined: BBB 2016: St. 25 (MACN-In 42334). Remarks: The genus was thought to be endemic to shallow-waters of southern Africa (30 to 73 m), with only one species described so far, Ideogorgia capensis Williams, 1992. The present new deep record (467 m) represents the first ocurrence of the genus in subantarctic waters and suggests early connections between these two distinct ocean basins. The material examined correspond to a new species recently described and deposited in the MACN (MACN-In 42334) (Pérez & Cordeiro 2020).
