Cyperus rotundus Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 45. 1753. "Habitat in India." RCN: 381. Lectotype (Tucker in Syst. Bot. Monogr. 43: 100. 1994): Herb. Hermann 1: 3, No. 36, 2 specimens (BM). Current name: Cyperus rotundus L. (Cyperaceae). Note: Tucker’s type choice is of material from a single gathering, but comprising two specimens, so the typification is valid under Art. 9.15.
