Cotyledon laciniata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 430. 1753. "Habitat in Aegypto." RCN: 3342. Lectotype (Fernandes in Bol. Soc. Brot., sér. 2, 53: 376. 1980): Herb. Clifford: 175, Cotyledon 1 (BM-000628567). Current name: Kalanchoë laciniata (L.) DC. (Crassulaceae). Note: Cufodontis (in Webbia 19: 734. 1965) stated that Linnaeus received the type from Egypt but did not indicate what he believed the type to be.
