Abstract

Brassica rapa Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 666. 1753. "Habitat in arvis Angliae, Belgii." RCN: 4853. Lectotype (Oost & al. in Taxon 36: 626, f 2. 1987): [icon] “Rapum” in Mattioli, Pl. Epit.: 219. 1586 (see p. 141). Current name: Brassica rapa L. (Brassicaceae). Note: See Bailey (in Gentes Herb. 1: 67. 1922; 2: 240. 1930) who discusses the Dodoëns and Mattioli plates.
