Africa, Nymphaeaceae: 3. 1989): [icon] "Lotus Aegyptia" in Alpino, Pl. Exot.: 214, 213. 1627. Current name: Nymphaea lotus L. (Nymphaeaceae). Note: Verdcourt (in Kew Bull. 44: 179. 20 Mar 1989) gave a detailed account but the typification dates from his slightly earlier (15 Feb 1989) Flora account.
