It is hard to overestimate the importance of the project and the portfolio in vocational education. The portfolio can visibly contribute to the development of competences, especially the lifelong learning competence, and may serve as evidence of a tradesman’s value, whereas the project stimulates creativity and problem-solving and promotes team spirit. The development of a series of training courses for teachers and foremen employed in vocational education began with an electronic questionnaire. Based on the conclusions reached after analyzing the answers provided by respondents, three separate training courses were designed.
