Comprehensive Glossary: Physics Glossary

Abstract

The compilation of a comprehensive glossary, based on lexical structure and conceptual relationships, has undergone challenging stages. Although various dictionaries have become accessible to the public in recent years, experience suggests that one of the richest lexical resources in specialized fields is the result of the terminology equivalence and selection activities of the University Publishing Center. Based on this foundation and the necessity of gathering vocabulary from basic sciences, engineering, and agriculture, suitable Persian equivalents for Latin terms were selected and sent for consultation to esteemed professors and experts. These were reviewed and refined by the terminology selection group, who generously proposed appropriate equivalents and provided useful and effective guidance in this area.
