Examining Teacher Negligence, Hostile Aggression, on Student Worldview and Self-Esteem

Abstract

This study examines the impact of reported teacher behavior on student psychological well-being using regression analysis. The study specifically investigates the impact of teacher neglect and hostile aggression on students' unfavorable perspectives of the world and their self-esteem, respectively. We analyzed the association between these variables using regression models, utilizing data from [insert relevant sample or population]. The findings demonstrate a notable correlation between teacher neglect and students' pessimistic perspectives on the world (F = 16.62, p<.000, β = 0.180, p<.000), implying that careless teaching methods contribute to unfavorable opinions of the world among students. Nevertheless, the data did not reveal any statistically significant results in terms of the association between perceived instructor hostile aggressiveness and student poor self-esteem (F = 0.441, p =.507). This suggests that teacher hostility does not have a major impact on student self-esteem. These findings highlight the significance of teacher-student relationships in influencing student well-being and stress the need for interventions that promote positive teacher behaviors to improve student outcomes. We advise further research to explore other elements that influence the relationship between teachers and students and their impact on students' mental well-being.
