Abstract

I denna artikel gör Mats Rosengren ett försök att bestämma det för retoriken helt centrala begreppet doxa – alltså de försanthållanden, trosföreställningar, fördomar, åsikter etc. som är de rådande inom en större eller mindre grupp människor. Utgångspunkten är retorikfilosofen Chaïm Perelman som mer än någon annan har visat hur retoriken också är en filosofi – men en filosofi som i motsats till den ­traditionella, rationalistiska filosofin är baserad på common sense. En filosofi som varken är evig eller absolut – men bunden till vår tid och värderingar
