Epistemologias da latitude zero: jogos, brincadeiras e brinquedos de São Tomé e Príncipe

Abstract

Este é um convite a descobrir as epistemologias da latitude zero, ou seja, aquilo que sabem aqueles que não sabem: quer porque são crianças, quer porque são africanas; tanto porque são marginalizadas pelo adultocentrismo quanto porque são invisibilizadas pelo eurocentrismo. No quadro teórico da sociologia da infância e no âmbito das teorias pós-coloniais estão presentes os pressupostos de reflexividade, colaboração e participação, os quais também ecoam na utilização das metodologias visuais. Assim, a escrita deste artigo faz uso dos registos fotográficos para a revelação dos saberes das crianças santomenses e a provocação de questionamentos: a normatização das brincadeiras das crianças e a valorização do ato de brincar em si próprio; a preservação da relação entre a criança e a natureza enquanto palco privilegiado do brincar; e a promoção de relações significativas com as crianças, (re)conhecendo as suas culturas lúdicas.
