Phytoécologie de "Hammada scoparia" dans la région de Naâma (Algérie occidentale)

Abstract

Le groupement à Hammada scoparia est une formation steppique caractéristique de l’Atlas Saharien de l’Algérie, se développe à une altitude de 800 à 1400m et occupe des sols sablo-limoneux à limono-sableux du piedmont sud de l’Atlas saharien, les glacis et les hamadas de la partie septentrionale du Sahara. Hammada scoparia est une espèce intéressante en tant qu’arbrisseau de 80 cm de hauteur et 10 cm de diamètre pour coloniser ces contrées arides avec une période de floraison qui s’étale du mois de Novembre jusqu’au mois de Janvier. Cette espèce rustique et résistante aux conditions difficiles (sécheresse, salinité, et faible précipitation), peut être recommandée dans la plantation de la steppe pour la sauvegarde et la conservation des sols.
