Abstract

İnsan hafıza sistemi üç süreçten oluşur: kodlama, depolama ve geri çağırma. Kodlama, gelen bilginin akılda tutulmaya uygun bir formata dönüştürülmesini içerir. Bu bilgi, potansiyel olarak uzun süreli belleğe geçmeden önce geçici olarak kısa süreli bellekte tutulur. Uzun süreli bellek, epizodik ve semantik anılar da dahil olmak üzere farklı hatırlama türlerini kapsar. Bu hafıza süreçleri, hipokampüsün hafıza oluşumunda merkezi bir rol oynadığı bir beyin yapıları ağı tarafından yönetilir. Bu unsurlar birlikte, bilişsel işlevin kritik bir yönü olan insan hafızasının temelini oluşturur.
