Abstract

Bariatrik cerrahi hastalarında egzersiz, toplam günlük enerji harcamasını, yağ oksidasyonunu, kardiyorespiratuar zindeliği, kas kuvveti ve dayanıklılığını, fonksiyonel hareketliliği ve insülin duyarlılığını arttırmak suretiyle tedaviye katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu hastalara bariatrik cerrahi öncesi ve sonrası dönemde aerobik, direnç ve esneklik egzersizleri ve bu egzersizlerin kombinasyonu tavsiye edilmektedir. Bariatrik cerrahi öncesi aerobik egzersizler, haftada 2-3 gün, tek bir seansta 20-45 dakika aralığında, maksimum kalp atım hızının %45–55 aralığında ya da 10–11 Borg RPE’ye (Borg algılanan zorluk derecesi) karşılık gelecek şekilde dizayn edilmelidir. Bariatrik cerrahi sonrasında; haftalık toplam egzersiz süresi 250-400 dakika, orta şiddetli (% 55–70 HRRmax, 12–14 Borg RPE), haftada 3-5 gün olarak devam etmelidir. Direnç egzersizlerinde ise; ameliyat öncesinde haftada 2-3 gün, 1RM < % 60, 12-15 tekrar, 3 set olacak şekilde planlanmalı ve en az 6 büyük kas grubu hedef alınmalıdır. Ameliyat sonrasında; egzersiz şiddeti orta-yüksek (1RM ≥%70) olacak şekilde kademeli olarak arttırılmalıdır. İlerleyen zamanlarda yüksek şiddetli aralıklı antrenman modeli uygulanabilir.
