This text deals with Just War theory, recently discussed in the Encyclical Fratelli tutti of Pope Francis. The main purpose of this article is to show that the Holy Father, speaking on this issue, is in line with the teachings of the previous successors of St. Peter. Furthermore, the article shows an attempt made by Italian philosopher Paolo Valori to prove the impossibility of a Just War in today’s world from an ethical point of view.
