Abstract

Entre las funciones de educar se encuentra la obligación de impulsar las faculta­des intelectuales, a los docentes también nos corresponde el deber de promover cuestiones relativas a la moral y a la afectividad de las personas de acuerdo con la cultura y las normas de convivencia de la sociedad a la que pertenecemos. La educación artística resulta un espacio ideal para la reivindicación social, para la expresión y la manifestación de las ideas, para proclamar los pensamientos y sentimientos de las personas. Destacamos la diversidad sexual y de género como argumento a implementar en las aulas a través de la coeducación. Promocionarlos y darles voz contribuirá a la conciencia y el respeto hacia las personas, la libertad y la justicia social. Desde la Facultad de Magisterio, Grado de Educación Infantil, de la Universidad de Valencia, campus d’Ontinyent, hemos trabajado esta temá­tica mediante instalaciones artísticas inspirándonos, entre otras, en la historia de “Cloe”, niña transgénero de ocho años. La etapa de la educación infantil es un es­pacio idóneo para indagar en estas sensibilidades y en la que los futuros maestros deben estar atentos. La Comunidad Valenciana, en España, es un referente sobre el impulso educativo en temas concerniente a la diversidad sexual y de género través de distintas instituciones, tanto políticas, así como educativas. Desde los niveles de infantil, primaria y secundaria, además del universitario.
