Abstract

Bu çalışmada Batı Resim Sanatında cehennem kavramının ele alınış biçimleri, farklı ressamlarıneserleri üzerinden incelenerek çözümlemeler yapılmış, Doğu Sanatında söz konusu kavramın elealınış şekli farklı minyatürlerde, tasvirlerde incelenmiştir. Buonamico Buffalmacco, Dieric Bouts,Hans Memling, Jan van Eyck, Hieorymus Bosch gibi ressamların eserleri incelenerek cehennemkonusunu nasıl yansıttıkları üzerinde durulmuştur. Ressamların eserleri vasıtasıyla toplumun inanışşeklinin sanatına nasıl yansıdığı hususunda örneklere yer verilmiştir. Çalışmada ressamların yapmışoldukları eserler resimsel açıdan değerlendirilerek resim çözümlemesi yapılmış ve bu doğrultudacehennem kavramının nasıl ele alındığı araştırılmıştır. Pek çok toplumda ele alınan cehennemkavramının resimsel açıdan yorumlanış biçimindeki benzerlikler ya da farklılıkların karşılaştırılmasıresim analizleriyle ortaya çıkarılmıştır. İslâm inancında cehennem kavramının nasıl ele alındığıaraştırılmış; bu bağlamda Ahval-ı Kıyamet adlı eserde yer alan cehennem tasvirleri üzerinden verilerelde edilerek Batı Resim Sanatındaki örneklerle karşılaştırma yoluna gidilmiştir. Cehennemkavramının Batı Resim Sanatında ve Doğu Sanatındaki tasvir edilişi, teknik açıdan ve içerikbakımından incelenerek benzer yönleri araştırılmıştır.

In this study, the way in which the concept of hell is handled in Western Painting Art is analyzed byexamining the works of different painters, and the way in which the concept is handled in EasternArt is examined in different miniatures and depictions. The works of painters such as BuonamicoBuffalmacco, Dieric Bouts, Hans Memling, Jan van Eyck, Hieorymus Bosch were examined andhow they reflected the subject of hell. Examples are given about how the belief of the society isreflected in the art through the works of the painters. In the study, the works of the painters wereevaluated from a pictorial point of view, and the painting analysis was made and how the concept ofhell was handled in this direction was examined. The similarities or differences in the pictorialinterpretation of the concept of hell, which is considered in many societies, have been revealedthrough picture analysis. It has been researched how the concept of hell is handled in Islamic belief;In this context, data was obtained from the depictions of hell in the work called Ahval-ı Kıyametand compared with the examples in Western Painting Art. The depiction of the concept of hell inWestern Painting and Eastern Art has been examined in terms of technique and content, and similaraspects have been researched.
