Solos de tabuleiros costeiros sob florestas naturais e sob cultivo

Abstract

Paisagens originarias dos sedimentos da Formacao Barreiras ocupam area expressiva do territorio brasileiro. Muitas dessas paisagens apresentam elevada intensidade de uso agricola, por uma combinacao de clima e ocorrencia de relevo plano a quase plano. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo caracterizar e comparar perfis de solo de superficies pouco a medianamente entalhadas dos tabuleiros costeiros entre o sul da Bahia e Alagoas, descritos sob coberturas vegetais naturais (florestas) e cultivadas. Foram analisados sete perfis de solo e utilizados mais seis perfi s, de outros trabalhos. Nas amostras, foi determinado: granulometria, C orgânico, Al, Ca, Mg, Al+H, K, Na, P ,Fe, Ti e Si. Foi tambem analisada a difracao de raios-X na fracao argila. Os perfis de solo apresentam relevo plano, cores amarelas, estrutura do horizonte B fraca pequena a media em blocos subangulares e carater coeso em subsuperficie. A textura e o atributo que mais diferencia os solos estudados entre si. Todos os solos sao hipoferricose as difracoes de raios-X mostram a predominância de caulinita na fracao argila dos solos estudados. O CO foi o unico atributo de solo testado que variou significativamente entre os materiais superficiais dos solos de floresta, comparativamente aos dos sistemas cultivados (cana, laranja, coco e eucalipto).
