Air to Air Turbocharged Air Cooling Versus Air-to-Water Turbocharged Air Cooling

Abstract

<div class="htmlview paragraph">In Europe, turbocharged air in diesel engines used in on-road vehicles is cooled only by air. It is expected that by 1990, ten to twelve percent of European heavy trucks with diesel engines will cool turbocharged air by water. Air-to-air turbocharged air cooling is reviewed and the evolution of air-to-water turbocharged air cooling presented before the two systems are compared.</div>
