<div class="htmlview paragraph">A Markov model is developed to predict the reliability of a full-authority, dual-redundant aircraft engine controller. The effects of failures of any of the controller’s sensors, electronic interface modules, processors and actuators, as well as the consequences of redundancy management decisions are modeled. The use of the model to perform parameter sensitivity studies and to develop quantitative data in support of design tradeoffs is described. The effects of scheduled maintenance on the inflight shutdown rate of the engine are determined.</div>
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 4 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
