AC Reed has a higher yield potential than Fielder combined with early maturity, resistance to prevalent races of stripe rust, and moderate resistance to powdery mildew, common root rot, shattering and sprouting. It is equal to or better than the standard check, Fielder, in overall milling and cookie-baking qualities. AC Reed is adapted to the irrigated regions of southern Alberta and Saskatchewan.
