Gordon is a new soft white winter wheat for Ontario with excellent pastry quality. It is higher yielding than the currently recommended cultivars and is attractive to millers and bakers because it has lower grain and flour protein than Fredrick. Gordon was licensed in June 1980. Breeder seed is maintained by the Ottawa Research Station, Agriculture Canada.
