This geochemical compilation contains 237 unpublished whole-rock geochemical analyses provided by S. Modeland (pers. comm., 2005) of mafic volcanic rocks and associated mafic intrusions from the Bravo Lake formation of the Piling group of central Baffin Island, Nunavut (Modeland and Francis, 2004). All of the major and trace element analyses were obtained by XRF at the McGill Geochemical Laboratories, with the trace elements re-analysed in 2005. The REE's were analysed by ICP-MS in 2001 at the University of Victoria's geochemical laboratory for samples with identification codes prefixed by SM and in 2002 and 2003, respectively, at the University of Saskatchewan's geochemical laboratory for the samples prefixed by the identification code FC, BF, SJ and NL and those prefixed by AD or PI. Details of geochemical methodologies, detection limits and standard analytical errors for all of the methods applied are readily available from the constituent laboratories. Additional geochemical analyses of the westernmost Bravo Lake formation on central Baffin Island are published by Johns et al. (2006).
