Homofobia internalizada e satisfação conjugal em homens e mulheres homossexuais

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo e analisar a capacidade preditiva da homofobia internalizada, da religiosidade e de variaveis sociodemograficas na satisfacao conjugal homossexual, com o intuito de proporcionar discussoes proficuas sobre a tematica, levando a possibilidade da diminuicao do estigma que se faz presente no imaginario social acerca das relacoes homossexuais. Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo com 94 sujeitos homossexuais de ambos os sexos em relacionamento conjugal. As variaveis analisadas foram relacionamento conjugal e homofobia internalizada, utilizando as escalas GRIMS e a escala de Homofobia Internalizada, alem de dados sobre sexualidade e religiosidade. Foi encontrada correlacao significativa entre homofobia internalizada e satisfacao conjugal dos casais homossexuais. Levanta-se a hipotese de que a homofobia internalizada diminui a satisfacao conjugal dos casais do mesmo sexo, pois a propria nao aceitacao do grupo de pertenca, caracteristica do individuo que vivencia a homofobia internalizada, nao permite com que este viva com plenitude seu relacionamento. Palavras-chave: homofobia, conjugalidade, preconceito.
