Un point de vue féminin sur « La Barbe bleue » : Le Fil rouge de Sarah Moon (2005)

Abstract

Sarah Moon a réalisé plusieurs films inspirés par des contes, parmi lesquels Le Fil rouge, adaptation très personnelle de « La Barbe bleue », en 2005. L’article interroge le regard porté sur ce conte par une artiste nourrie de ses expériences esthétiques antérieures. En effet, Sarah Moon est venue à la photographie plasticienne et au cinéma après s’être fait un nom dans le domaine de la mode. Sa réappropriation du texte source relève doublement d’un point de vue féminin : d’une part, elle épouse le point de vue de sa jeune héroïne — comme le faisait Perrault lui-même, et l’on sait que ce conte a pu être lu comme féministe ; d’autre part, elle se place en position de conteuse en prenant en charge la voix off qui accompagne les images. Elle conte à nouveau à sa façon le seul conte de Perrault qui n’est pas désigné comme conte : elle recontextualise l’histoire séculaire et invente un autre destin à l’héroïne en intriquant les images fixes et animées, la musique et la voix, le passé et le présent, la beauté et le crime.
