Confronter la notion d’enclavement aux réalités sociales et spatiales d’une oasis saharienne permet d’interroger les objets aux- quels se rapporte cette notion tout en exposant son caractère relatif. La perception de l’enclavement qu’ont les populations dans une oasis du Nord Niger apparaît directement liée au rapport entre leurs intentions de mobilité et leurs capacités d’être mobiles. La situation d’enclavement dans laquelle se retrouvent certains migrants au cœur du Sahara montre que les discontinuités qui limitent la mobilité humaine, en amplifiant les distances à franchir, peuvent être matérielles, symboliques ou imaginaires.
