L’articolo affronta la questione del corpo in relazione ad una serie di riletture messe in campo sull’opera in prosa e in poesia dello scrittore italo-argentino Juan Rodolfo Wilcock. Partendo dalla nozione di somatisation elaborata da E. Sami‑Ali, il saggio investiga il modo in cui essa viene declinata in maniera originale e insolita in testi come Fatti Inquietanti (1961), Lo stereoscopio dei solitari (1972), La sinagoga degli iconoclasti (1972) e la raccolta di liriche La parola Morte (1968). Tale ricostruzione perviene ad offrire un quadro teorico piuttosto coeso in cui il corpo viene concepito come un convulso terreno di degenerazioni teratogene.
