Diálogo estético en Trabajos del reino, de Yuri Herrera. Más allá de la narcoliteratura

Abstract

La novela Trabajos del reino (2004), de Yuri Herrera, se ubica en el eje tem��tico de la narcoliteratura. Sin embargo, el prop��sito de la presente investigaci��n es demostrar que esta obra establece un di��logo est��tico con la tradici��n literaria que la antecede. La novela opera una resemantizaci��n de g��neros tan distintos como la f��bula, el Bildungsroman y, especialmente, la po��tica de la balada y el romance medievales. Esto genera una refuncionalizaci��n est��tica del g��nero narrativo de la narcoliteratura, y actualiza las formas y g��neros con las que la obra dialoga. En un marco compositivo que representa, por medio de las figuras del juglar y el trovador propias de la balada y el romance, la novela reflexiona tambi��n sobre el papel del artista en la sociedad mexicana contempor��nea.
