Este texto analisa as três etapas da concepção e da representação da identidade nacional na Literatura Portuguesa escrita e recebida em Portugal desde a modernidade. Considerando a etapa mais recente, interpela a noção de Lusofonia problematizando-a a partir da ideia de que as literaturas em língua portuguesa se inserem em espaços e em tempos não coincidentes. E chama a atenção para a emergência da representação de uma nova subjectividade na Literatura Portuguesa.
