México ¿la dictadura perfecta?

Abstract

Durante el siglo XX, muchos países de Latinoamérica sufrieron dictaduras militares o regímenes autoritarios, sin embargo, durante esa época México se proyectó como un país pacífico y democrático. No obstante, en la historia de México en el siglo XX ha habido sucesos dolorosos que, no sólo no forman parte de la historia oficial, sino tampoco de la memoria colectiva. Un ejemplo es la llamada “guerra sucia” de los años setenta, que tuvo como consecuencia cientos de desaparecidos que no forman parte del discurso político, ni del imaginario social. En este artículo, me interesa analizar la manera cómo se despliegan distintas narrativas sobre el pasado reciente, en donde el olvido ha sido un elemento sustancial de la política interna. Mi interés es mostrar cómo ha sido construida esta imagen de país pacífico y democrático, a pesar de que estuvo gobernado más de 70 años por un mismo partido que lo controlaba todo, apoyado en una de las instituciones que ha estado siempre presente en la historia moderna del país: el ejército. Considero que es importante analizarlo, no solo como un ejercicio historización, sino como un análisis de la manera en la que la sociedad mexicana se relaciona con su pasado y que impacta el proceso de construcción de memoria actual.
