Abstract

Artus de Bretagne est un roman arthurien tardif en prose, peut-être composé dans les années 1296-1302 , postérieur aux Continuations du Conte du Graal en vers et aux cycles en prose. Comme les autres créations arthuriennes originales de la fin du Moyen Âge, il s’écarte du chronotope arthurien qui s’est dégagé de l’Historia Regum Britanniae à la suite de Chrétien de Troyes . Texte à la marge du roman arthurien de par son chronotope, Artus est aussi à la marge dans la mesure où il invente un héros...
